Model of a steam locomotive with good hauling and running capacities with a high pressure compound engine with superheater. The class was designed for use on the steep inclines of the Gotthard route, and was considered extremely efficient. The prototype was produced from 1913 to 1917 by the Swiss Locomotive Works of Winterthur.
